2014 was not great in regards to accomplishing my goals. Many of the same goals will be pushed to 2015. In addition, I will add more goals to 2015.

Goals for 2015

  1. Increase traffic to ThePharmacistBlog.com to 10,000 page views a month.
  2. Start posting YouTube videos again
  3. Travel more and visit at least 2 different Countries
  4. Become Board Certified in Geriatrics
  5. Write and publish an E-book on “How to Get into Pharmacy School”
  6. Save 50% of my net income
  7. Create a dividend portfolio that generates $4000 for its first year 2015

1. Increase Traffic to ThePharmacistBlog.com

I want to refocus on building a better blog and posting more regularly. The blog currently averages 6000-7000 page views per month and my goal is to increase this to 10,000 page views a month. Will need to learn how to optimize this website better and post more content.

What kind of content would you like me to post about? Is there anything that you like in particular that I should do more posts of? Any suggestions for improving the blog?

2. Start Posting YouTube videos again

It has been almost a year since posting anything on YouTube. Since creating this blog it has been quite difficult to find time to make videos. My goal is to post at least 1 video per month for the year 2015.

As of right now I have declined all wedding videography opportunities to focus on my other goals. What type of material would you like to see for videos?

3. Travel

Having only visited Japan and Canada for my list of countries, I believe it is time I expand to other countries and start exploring the world more. I want to see new things, meet new people, and have new experiences.

Any suggestions? Places you visited that you really liked?

4. Board Certified in Geriatrics

I simply was not motivated enough to get this goal completed. This will definitely be part of my 2015 goals. Now that I am working full time as a clinical pharmacist at a hospital this certification is not as meaningful. However, I think it is a good step before trying to become certified in pharmacotherapy (the gold standard for hospital pharmacists). My goal is to be certified in geriatrics and pharmacotherapy in 2 years from now.

5. Writing an E-Book

This was a goal left over from 2014 that never was accomplished. This is something I have always wanted to do. To say I have written a book would be a great accomplishment!

What is the most useful information you would like me to write about in a E-Book?

6. Save 50% of my Net Income

I am striving for financial independence and I believe a 50% savings rate is the key. By doing so hopefully I can go part time as a pharmacist in my 40s. I have approximately 12 more years before hitting 40 years old. Lets see how I do on my journey to financial independence.

7. Generate $4,000 in Dividend Income

One the the ways to reach financial independence is to increase passive income. This can be achieved by creating income streams. I currently have many investments that spit out dividends. I will aim for $4,000 dollars for the year of 2015.

I hope to inspire others with my goals and I would love to hear yours. We are here to support each other, comment below on your goals for 2015.
